On a different note, I must warn you my husband is about to send you a very gushy thank you for your mouthing system. I have already commented on it on his behalf to you once, but yesterday after walking the latest breaker through creeks and happily chasing cows away ect all on her third ride ever, he said he felt like it was somehow wrong that breaking in was now this easy! We have been sending back some very happy horses to some very happy owners! You are a legend.

My daughter and I watched your Mouthing DVD and I all I can say it's fantastic. I would urge everyone who owns a hay burner to get hold of this DVD, as it can and will save a life or two.
It was just a pity we didn't watch it before my daughter got on the STB with people issues. She found out this horse had absolutely no brakes. She was literally standing in the stirrups hauling on it's mouth with all of her weight (which isn't a lot) and it still didn't stop. The horse decided to see what would happen to the person on his back if he took off. Luckily she was riding in the round yard and the horse couldn't actually bolt off into the big blue yonder. Now the horse will be mouthed before anyone gets on it again. Thanks again for being there to give advise when we come across problems we don't have an answer for.

Ooh I should mention, we watched the mouthing DVD yesterday. And something happened, I couldn't believe possible. My "better" half is a complete convert! We do things slightly similar, but after seeing you ask for the "lateral mouth", he has now seen the light and its benefits for both the racing STB as well as hack now all our horses will be mouthed this way. Dear Mr and Mrs HP,
this message is to thank you both for your dvds which I have been working my way through. I have recently returned from an amazing loose rein walk thru the National Park on my very stupid OTTB (aren't they all though!) After just four half hour rides during which I followed your instructions to the best of my ability using serious lateral flexion to wind down the running/jogging trying to buck every second step/separation anxiety - you name it - we had it!!! I now see that I may have a horse on my hand. I am soo pleased, thank you both so much. You have saved me from a very nasty fall I suspect, and although I no we have much to do, I am simply amazed at how quickly results come when your methods are applied correctly and relief given for the correct response. Thank you so much - we had the most amazing power walk home!!! all on a totally loose rein - and it was a pleasure - to not be frightened at every second step - the horse is even responding to my verbal warning as he knows what is coming every time he breaks gait.. I'm so pleased. This horse is such a git - and was really frightening the life out of me - not fun at all. Now we are on a plan. yey!.

I have recently purchased another trainers DVD only to find that it was a "have a look at me" session.
Now, I am all up for learning new things from all kinds of trainers but found his to be far... shall we say... from informative. (NH Trainer)

Please keep up the great work, I now have both your mouthing DVD & Leg Yielding DVD and have to say they are both such great value $, so frank and brilliantly informative that ANYONE.. novice or otherwise would gain from a viewing. I just wanted to say thank you for producing this DVD.  My 11 month old Clydie X colt had his first farrier appointment yesterday and what a champ he was - all thanks to your DVD.  I've only had him about 5 weeks, and he was relatively unhandled when I got him, but with a fabulous temperament.
 
Well, the difference in him after this training is amazing.  My farrier (with 40 odd years experience) was absolutely rapt with my not so little boy, he's said he's never had a young one be so well behaved for his first trim.
